A Conversation with the Resilient & Radiant LaCara Reese

At Photos by LJK, we celebrate women who push through, stand tall, and uplift others with their strength and grace. Today, we’re sitting down with LaCara Reese, a woman who leads with resilience, gratitude, and love. Let’s dive into her inspiring story!

Photos by LJK: What’s your full name?

LaCara: LaCara Reese.

Photos by LJK: Who is the woman that inspires you the most?

LaCara: My Nana. No matter what she’s gone through in life, she keeps pushing. She’s so strong, and I admire her for that. She raised all of her children with her head held high.

Photos by LJK: That’s the definition of strength! If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

LaCara: *Keep going, and you are enough. *

Photos by LJK: That’s a message we all need to hear. What’s your go-to song or station when you need to feel empowered?

LaCara: Drake station always gets me pumped and confident lol.

Photos by LJK: Yesss, Drake always delivers the energy! What’s a passion or hobby that brings you joy outside of work?

LaCara: Traveling.

Photos by LJK: Nothing like exploring new places! If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

LaCara: Resilient.

Photos by LJK: Why did you choose that word?

LaCara: *I could be going through my hardest times and still keep a smile on my face. My ability to adapt is impeccable. I’m continuously grateful for what is and what’s coming. *

Photos by LJK: That’s the mindset of a true fighter! How do you celebrate your wins, big or small?

LaCara: With prayer! I always have to celebrate with the man above with grace and continue to be thankful.

Photos by LJK: Amen to that! What does strength mean to you, and how do you embody it?

LaCara: Strength is the capacity of weight that one can endure—physically, mentally, or emotionally. I embody strength by pushing beyond its capacity each day, in different aspects of life. This has helped me overcome barriers that were once present in my life.

Photos by LJK: That’s so powerful. If you could make one change in the world for women, what would it be?

LaCara: Equal rights. We all deserve what men deserve—equal pay and respect.

Photos by LJK: Say that again for the people in the back! What’s one accomplishment you’re really proud of?

LaCara: Being a great mother. I am rewarded by seeing my girls happy and healthy. That’s the biggest reward of all and truly heartwarming.

LaCara: Love You!
