A Conversation with the Resilient & Caring Betsy Caraballo

At Photos by LJK, we love highlighting women who embody resilience, strength, and heart. Today, we’re sitting down with Betsy Caraballo, a woman whose journey is shaped by hard work, love, and the power of believing in yourself. Let’s dive in!

Photos by LJK: What’s your full name?

Betsy: Betsy Caraballo.

Photos by LJK: Who is the woman that inspires you the most?

Betsy: My mother is my greatest inspiration. Despite having only an elementary school education and speaking limited English, she was a humble and determined woman. She taught my sister and me the importance of hard work, responsibility, and self-worth, while also emphasizing the value of education.

She worked tirelessly to provide for us, always with the goal of helping us grow into the professional women we are today.

Photos by LJK: That’s such a beautiful tribute to her! If you could give your younger self one piece of advice, what would it be?

Betsy: Wow, I would tell my younger self not to be afraid to explore and to prioritize investing in myself.

Photos by LJK: That’s great advice. What’s your go-to song or station when you need to feel empowered?

Betsy: I love listening to TobyMac.

Photos by LJK: Music is the best motivator! What’s a passion or hobby that brings you joy outside of work?

Betsy: Cleaning and organizing my home as well as cuddling with my dogs.

Photos by LJK: That sounds like the perfect combination of peace and joy! If you had to describe yourself in one word, what would it be?

Betsy: Caring.

Photos by LJK: Why did you choose that word?

Betsy: I show genuine empathy, kindness, and concern for others.

Photos by LJK: That’s a beautiful trait. How do you celebrate your wins, big or small?

Betsy: I go out with my family or friends and just have a girls’ date.

Photos by LJK: That sounds like a perfect way to celebrate! What does strength mean to you, and how do you embody it?

Betsy: Strength to me means resilience in the face of challenges, the ability to persevere, and staying true to myself and others. I embody strength by maintaining a positive mindset and focusing on solutions. I also try to learn from my setbacks in order to grow.

Betsy: True equality for women’s voice, talent, and value.

Photos by LJK: Amen to that! What’s one accomplishment you’re really proud of?

Betsy: Becoming a mother to two handsome, smart, and caring sons.

Betsy: Believe in Yourself – You Are Stronger Than You Think.
