At Photos by LJK, we celebrate women who embrace life, uplift others, and chase their dreams without fear. Today, we’re sitting down with Gail Joanna Kendrick, a woman whose kindness, resilience, and adventurous spirit shape the way she lives and inspires those around her. Let’s dive into her journey of growth, empowerment, and fearless living.
Gail: Gail Joanna Kendrick.
Gail: My mother. She was a strong Puerto Rican woman who lived each day as if it were her last. Family was everything to her. She loved to travel and experience different countries—she truly loved life. She embraced every moment, and that is something I strive to do every day.
Gail: Trust the process. Don’t be afraid to take risks. Embrace your mistakes and failures—they’re lessons, not roadblocks. It’s okay to be afraid, but don’t stay in that world of fear. Take chances. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable—it’s temporary.
Gail: “HARD” by Rihanna.
Gail: Photography and reading.
Gail: Kind.
Gail: I always treat others with understanding and compassion. I try to make people feel supported and offer help without expecting anything in return. Being patient, present, and positive goes a long way.
Gail: I share with my loved ones, then I might treat myself to a new book or grab some ice cream. I keep the momentum going by setting a new goal—always looking forward to what’s next.
Gail: Strength is being vulnerable, showing my truth, seeking help when I need it, and building meaningful connections. It’s knowing that true strength isn’t about going at it alone—it’s about allowing yourself to be seen, supported, and empowered.
Gail: Empowering women to pursue their dreams without barriers or bias.
Gail: Stepping outside of my comfort zone and not worrying about what people think or may say.
Gail: “Today’s a good day for a good day.”
