At Photos by LJK, we celebrate women who defy limits, embrace their depth, and continuously elevate. Today, we’re sitting down with DeJone Mitchell, aka Dee Dash, a woman who carries the wisdom of generations, thrives on discipline, and never stops climbing. Let’s dive into her story!
DeJone: DeJone Mitchell (Dee Dash).
DeJone: I’m inspired most by my aunts and grandmothers. They were extremely strong women—my aunts taught me grace and poise. Every bit of me is a puzzle piece of each of them.
DeJone: Discipline is the best form of self-love.
DeJone: My go-to station would be gospel music.
DeJone: Videography and photography—I love capturing moments and telling stories through visuals.
DeJone: DEEP.
DeJone: Because I don’t fit into one box. There are a plethora of things that describe me.
DeJone: I celebrate BIG because tomorrow isn’t promised and we shouldn’t shrink ourselves.
DeJone: Strength means fighting back when life beats you down in different ways. I embody strength because there have been so many odds against me on a day-to-day basis, and I beat them every time.
DeJone: More respect and honor for women. We don’t receive it enough. We aren’t given enough credit. Women are the root of it all—in my eyes.
DeJone: I always climb the ladder. Being complacent and content isn’t me—I’m always looking to cross off another goal. I’m most proud of that trait about myself.
DeJone: Attitudes are contagious… is yours worth catching?
